For Old Time’s Sake

The spotlight moved on. He didn’t.

Months without work and three days from eviction, former child star Solomon gets one last ultimatum from his agent: take a small indie role or lose him for good. Instead, he spends the night chasing the glory of his old days, at the expense of the castmates who grew up with him.

The story

Solomon was the lead on The Enchanted, the kids’ sitcom everyone grew up on. Now the awards on his shelf are chipped, the rent is late, and the showrunner who made him won’t take his call.

So he shows up at a castmate’s party instead, hoping the people from the old days can get him back to them. Molly has outgrown the show. Derrick has booked the part Solomon wanted. And the light overhead won’t stop flickering.

The tone

Party small talk, old in-jokes and a flickering light that won’t leave him alone, until it does. It’s one big joke, and Solomon isn’t in on it.

Why it matters

A film about the cost of staying who you were instead of becoming who you could be, at the cost of the people who knew you before.
